Very strong and sturdy. Beautiful design. Love the black bottom feet part. Thought it was black paint that would chip off if you hit your shoes against it, but it's not. Bought for our house at the beach, so I am pleased to say it won't rust like other chairs with chrome bottoms. Very, very happy with our purchase at an excellent price
